Helen Keller, a blind and deaf American writer, activist and lecturer (1880-1968) once said, “Never bend your head. Always hold it high. Look the world straight in the eye.” Explain what this quote means and why you would agree or disagree?

Helen Keller was one of the most inspiring women of the 20th century. She once said, “Never bend your head. Always hold it high. Look the world straight in the eye.” I know that her story was very tragic. She became blind and deaf when she was only 19 months old, and despite this, she inspired many people with her autobiography and essays. She was also an activist. She proved that her disability didn’t stop her from studying and living a full life.

For me, this quote means that we should face life with confidence, courage, and dignity, no matter what challenges we face. In my own experience, I can say that being confident and always trying to do your best is very important. I think it’s impossible to reach success without effort. Helen Keller is the best example of this. I absolutely agree with the quote. It teaches us to respect ourselves, be confident, and work hard despite all problems, and to keep moving toward our goals. I must admit that to achieve our goals, we often need someone who inspires us. Helen had her teacher Anne Sullivan, who inspired and helped her learn to read and write.

I also know some people in my town who have disabilities, but despite their problems, they try to live a normal life. I respect them very much for their strong will and desire to live.

To sum up, without the desire to succeed, there will be no progress in reaching our goals.

Never Bend Your Head

In my opinion, these are very wise words from a person who was blind and deaf, because she had many difficulties in her life but still didn’t give up. I think these words mean that we should live our lives with confidence, pride, and resilience, even in difficult situations.

I agree with her words because it’s important never to give up. I believe that there is always a way out, no matter how hard life seems. It might not be easy, but we need to try again and again. We shouldn’t tell ourselves that we can’t do something. If we truly want to, we will achieve it 100%.

Many famous people and ancient rulers have said similar things, just in different ways. If you want to be successful, you need to look the world straight in the eyes. There is no need to be afraid of obstacles. If you are always afraid, the world will not let you rise higher. Those who don’t take risks never succeed.

In conclusion, I want to add a famous phrase by Ivan Bahrianyi: “The brave always have luck.”
