Hi there! I’m Vlad. I would like to present my essay to you.
In today’s world, there are many conflicts between countries in different parts of the world. Global tension is rising, and the possibility of a third world war exists because russia is bombing Ukraine, and their drones sometimes fly into NATO countries. They also threaten to use nuclear weapons, which are very dangerous. Not only in Europe does tension rise. China wants war with Taiwan, North Korea threatens South Korea and the USA, and there are also conflicts inside the United States, such as in Texas. The reasons for these conflicts are different: some countries want more territory, while others fight for independence. In the end, all wars can only stop through diplomatic means, when leaders of countries talk to each other and make agreements.
What are the first steps to world peace? This question has many answers for different people. In my opinion, peace means that all countries have equal rights and no one tries to take the territory of their neighbours. The first step to peace is to stop shooting at each other because without a ceasefire there can be no peace. To achieve peace, both sides must stop bombing and fighting. Another important thing is respect and understanding. Many conflicts begin because of fear or misunderstanding. Honest communication is also essential. When nations or groups talk openly and listen carefully, they can solve problems without violence.
I also believe that world peace doesn’t begin with governments alone, it begins with people. If each person tries to understand others and speak with kindness, the world will become more peaceful.
To sum up, if people follow these steps, the world will become a safer and more peaceful place.

The First Steps to World Peace
World peace is one of humanity’s oldest and most powerful dreams. Achieving it does not depend only on idealism but on concrete actions that promote justice, understanding, and cooperation. In general, the first steps toward peace should include education that builds empathy and international collaboration that prevents and resolves conflicts.
Education is the foundation of peaceful societies. When children are taught tolerance, cultural awareness, and respect, they are less likely to grow up with prejudice or hatred. Schools that encourage discussion, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence help students understand differences rather than fear them. Exchange programs and intercultural projects allow young people to experience other perspectives firsthand, turning potential conflicts into opportunities for dialogue.
The second essential step is effective international cooperation. Peace is not maintained by isolation but by communication and shared responsibility. However, institutions such as the United Nations and the European Union often lack the power to stop aggression quickly. The current war in Ukraine illustrates this challenge. russia’s invasion has shown that peace must be defended actively, not just discussed.
To stop aggression and restore peace, nations must act in complementary ways: tightening economic sanctions, closing loopholes that allow evasion, using frozen russian assets legally to support Ukraine’s recovery, and providing defensive military aid. At the same time, international justice systems, such as the International Criminal Court, must ensure accountability for war crimes.
In conclusion, world peace requires both universal and practical steps: education for empathy and cooperation built on justice. The case of Ukraine proves that peace is not achieved through words alone but through coordinated, moral, and courageous action. Only by defending what is right can the world move closer to true and lasting peace.
Vlad, you did a great job explaining the causes of global conflicts and giving thoughtful ideas about how to achieve peace. I especially like how you mentioned that peace begins with people. That’s a very strong and mature idea.
