Are there many good job vacancies for teenagers in your country?

There aren’t many good job vacancies for teenagers in my country. In my opinion, having a part-time job helps teens become independent and responsible. I think that teenagers should have a part-time job to get real experience. Some teens work only at weekends or during holidays. They work in food service as a kitchen assistant or a waiter. Others work as shop assistants in shops and shopping centres. They can also work as babysitters.

What is your dream job?

I want to become a doctor. I think it is a very noble profession. I am good at biology and chemistry. I wanted to help people who have problems with health. I know that a doctor should be kind and attentive to people, responsible and honest and prudent. A doctor who is selfish can’t be good at this profession. I try to do my best to develop good traits in myself. In my opinion, the job of a doctor is rewarding.

In the future, I may enjoy being a computer programmer because I am keen on technology. IT specialists are in great demand. I think this job is interesting and well-paid. To be a successful IT specialist you must be able to think logically, be patient and love to solve problems I’d like to work for a big company.

Are there jobs that are only for men or only for women?

Some jobs are more common for men. They often require physical strength. They are the jobs of a builder, a mechanic, a firefighter, a military man, a police officer, a pilot. Jobs common for women are teachers, nurses, kindergarten teachers, secretaries, flight attendants

Many countries have laws to allow both men and women to work in any field. Today, most jobs can be done by anyone, no matter if they are a man or a woman. It depends on what they like and what they are good at. For example, there are women builders and men teachers. What matters is working hard and caring about the job.

An English teacher’s job is to help students learn and improve their English skills, such as speaking, reading, writing, and listening. They show students how to speak English clearly and confidently. They help them read and understand books, stories, or articles. They teach writing emails, letters, stories, essays. They prepare interesting activities for the lessons, check and mark students’ work and help students grow. An English teacher should be patient, kind, understanding and supportive. In my opinion, some of the best jobs are:

the job of a wildlife photographer who travels around the world, takes pictures of animals, and explores nature. His/Her job is exciting and adventurous;
the job of a toy designer who designs fun toys for kids to enjoy;
the job of a video game tester who plays video games to make sure they work perfectly is fun for people who love gaming;
the job of a pilot who flies planes and sees the world from above, visits many countries and meets new people;
the job of a teacher is very rewarding because he/she helps kids learn and grow making a difference in their lives
the job of an ice cream taster who tries new flavors of ice cream for a living is sweet and delicious.

Some jobs are very tough. Some jobs need physical strength, some jobs are emotionally stressful; some jobs require a lot of mental focus. Many tough jobs are tiring because they don’t have a regular schedule.

Here are some examples of the toughest jobs in the world:

soldiers protect their country, often in dangerous situations; they face risks in war zones, extreme weather, and long periods away from family;
doctors and nurses work long hours to save lives and care for sick people; they deal with emergencies, stress, and sometimes very emotional situations;
firefighters rescue people from burning buildings or accidents, work in dangerous conditions and need to be physically strong and brave;
miners work deep underground in dark and dangerous spaces, face risks like cave-ins, toxic gases, and loud machinery;
builders build houses, roads, or skyscrapers in all kinds of weather; they work with heavy tools and sometimes at great heights.
farmers work long hours outdoors growing food for everyone;

Even though these jobs are hard, they are also very important and rewarding because they help people and make the world a better place.

take care of children helping them with schoolwork, teaching life skills, and providing emotional support
Budget and manage household expenses
plan family events, doctor’s appointments, or kids’ activities
support family members.

The job of a housewife is tough because they work 24 hours seven days a week without breaks.
Being a housewife is one of the most important and demanding jobs because it provides love, stability, and care for the family. It might not be a traditional job, but it’s definitely work that deserves respect and appreciation.

In an ideal world, everyone would have equal job opportunities, but in reality, this is not always the case. Not everyone has the same chance to get a job, and sometimes that’s not fair.

Sometimes, young people have trouble getting jobs because they don’t have enough experience. Older people might be told they are too old to work, even though they have lots of skills.

People who live in big cities might find more jobs, while people in small towns or villages might not have as many job choices.

People with disabilities may find it harder to get a job.
