Visit Pilsen

There’s always something to do in Pilsen, day or night. The city has its charms and attractions. For example, the art galleries and museums have very good exhibitions. They’re interesting for children and parents, locals and tourists. Liz always enjoys taking her visitors around the city. The best way to see the sights is on foot, so Liz and her friends sometimes take a tram into the centre and they walk around everywhere. Walking is better than driving when you want to see everything.

Some buildings are very old, but they look beautiful. Experts restored the city’s main theatre, the cathedral and other old places. The city can be proud of them. They’re now more beautiful than before.

During the winter there’re more concerts and balls than in summer. It’s traditional. This is because people want to dress up and go out and enjoy themselves. They put on their best clothes – you never wear jeans to a ball. There are many schools that teach dancing here. You hardly ever find anyone in the city who cannot dance well. The concerts, operas, plays and ballets are usually popular entertainments in the city, too.
