Year 7 Level A2
Hi, I’m Liliya and today I will tell you about my family rest last year.
I really love traveling, and I have been fortunate to visit many different and beautiful places in my country. My family and I often travel to western Ukraine, which holds a special place in our hearts.
Last year, I had an amazing trip to the Carpathian Mountains. I saw so many incredible things like waterfalls, hills, and majestic mountains. The scenery was truly beautiful and spectacular. One of the highlights was visiting Lake Synevyr, which was absolutely breathtaking. I also had the opportunity to climb Hoverla, Gimba, and Written Stone, and the views from the top were breathtaking.
During our trip, we explored various beautiful places in the region and even tried a new and cool sport: rafting. It was so much fun, and I also made some new friends.
The food in the Carpathians was delicious, and I particularly enjoyed eating berries from the hills and forests while taking lots of photos to capture the special moments.
On our way back home, we visited some fascinating historical sites, including the Olesky and Pidhoretsky castles, Khotynsk and Kamianets-Podilskyi fortresses. These buildings are very old and used to be home to Polish lords. Some of them have interesting histories and unique structures. Many have been turned into museums, which is quite fascinating. You can see how they’ve withstood many wars, as evidenced by their high walls. One of the fortresses, Khotyn, had a torture chamber in the basement, and it was creepy to visit that awful place.
I absolutely loved my travel to the Carpathian Mountains, and I’m already thinking about going back there in the future. This trip holds a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait for more adventures like this in the future. I enjoyed our family rest which was full of adventures and I brought unforgettable impressions!:)
