Which shop do you like the best and why?

Hi there! I’m Sofia. I like going shopping very much and it’s difficult for me to say what my favourite shop is. We often do shopping in Kyiv and in our regional centre Cherkassy. There are some malls in Cherkassy but my favourite one is “Liubava”. It is a four-storey mall offering a variety of shops, a supermarket, some cafes, a cinema and a play center. I like this mall because it’s a great place to do shopping and entertain.

But the shop I like the best is our Suziria. My mum and dad run a family business. They have Suziria. It’s a grocer’s shop and a bakery. Suziria is a modern well-stocked shop in the town of Kaniv. The shop is located rather far from the centre of the town in Energetykiv Street near the police station and the fire station. Suziria opened 16 years ago.

Suziria is located in a two-storey building. The grocery and the bakery are on the first floor. There is a banquet hall on the second floor but it doesn’t work now because of the war.

You can buy a wide variety of items in our grocery:

• fruit and vegetables
• meat products and fish
• dairy products like milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, ice cream
• canned and packaged goods: canned fish, canned fruits and vegetables, ketchup, mayonnaise, sugar, etc.
• grains and cereals: rice, pasta, breakfast cereals, and flour
• drinks: water, juices, soft drinks, tea, coffee, mohito and alcoholic beverages
• sweets: candies and chocolate.

The shop is nice and convenient. The shop-assistants are friendly, helpful and polite. They consult you and help to choose goods. You can pay by cards or in cash.

Every day Suziria bakery produces a lot of pies, pastry, cookies, and other goodies. They also make cakes to order and bake wedding loaves. Suzirya also has its own workshop of semi-finished products and produces many delicious dishes. People buy them when they don’t have time to cook dinner.
