Hi! I’m Vlad. Last summer holidays I went to London and visited some interesting places: Buckingham Palace, the London Eye and Houses of Parliament.

The place which impressed me the most was the Houses of Parliament, one of most famous places in London. One of the coolest things about the Houses of Parliament is that it is located in the center of London right by the River Thames, which is the longest river in England. You can see boats and birds and all sorts of interesting things around the building that’s why it’s a popular spot for tourists.

Have you ever heard of Big Ben? It’s a clock tower that’s attached to the Houses of Parliament, and it’s one of the most famous landmarks in London. It’s so tall (over 300 feet tall) that you can see it from almost anywhere in the city!

The Houses of Parliament, also known as the Palace of Westminster, is home to the British government. It is where Members of Parliament (MPs) meet to debate and pass laws.

It was so interesting for me to know that the Westminster Palace has a very rich history. It was strategically important during the middle ages as it was located on the banks of the Thames. A long time ago, a big fire destroyed a lot of the palace, so it had to be rebuilt. It took over 30 years to finish the job.

Even though the Houses of Parliament is a really important place, it’s open to visitors! You can take a guided tour of the building and see many of its famous rooms and features. If you’re lucky, you might even get to see an MP in action!

Overall, the Houses of Parliament is a fascinating place with so much to see and learn. It’s also a place where you can have fun and explore. If you ever get the chance to visit London, it’s definitely worth a visit!
