What’s Your Hobby?
Write about your hobbies, will you?
Level B1
Hi there! I’m Liza and that’s what I’ve written about my hobby.
As a senior high school student, I don’t have much free time, but sometimes I do find some moments to devote to myself and my hobbies. One of my favorite hobbies is crafting. I enjoy creating something with my own hands, and when I am working on a craft project, I can concentrate on the process of making something and forget about any problems or school assignments for a while, or sometimes even think them over in a more relaxed way.
Recently, I made a gift for my mother for International Women’s Day. I created a butterfly flower bouquet and my mom was extremely impressed and pleasantly surprised. It took me about three days to make it.
To create the bouquet, I first printed out butterfly templates, covered them with scotch tape, and then cut them out. Then, I glued wooden skewers together to make them longer, and attached beads to the top. I wrapped each skewer with butterfly in glassine paper and LED lights. Finally, I wrapped the entire bouquet with glassine paper and beige-pink tissue paper.
Throughout my life, I have enjoyed doing things with my hands, such as drawing pictures for school or creating postcards. Last summer, I even tried my hand at making a plate out of modeling clay.
Some of my other hobbies include cooking and cycling, but unfortunately, I don’t have much time for them at the moment due to my upcoming final exams. Additionally, I take a German language course that takes up around four hours of my day.
In conclusion, it is important to find activities that allow you to relax and distract yourself from the stress of everyday life. For me, crafting has become one of my go-to hobbies when I need to unwind and take a break from the pressures of school and studying.
