I’m Dasha and here is my review of the exhibition:

I’ve recently visited an art exhibition of Ivan Marchuk‘s paintings. Ivan Marchuk is one of the most famous contemporary Ukrainian artists, who has created thousands of works of art and invented his own technique – Plyontanism. He has displayed his works in numerous countries, but the exhibition I’ve visited was held in Kyiv, where Ivan is considered to be an honoured citizen.

The exhibition showed the most famous paintings of Ivan Marchuk, which were so mysterious and unusual, original and enchanting. It is impossible to confuse them with the works of any other artist! I really looked at every detail of compositions and analysed the colours, the brushstrokes and texture, thought over the symbols. The visitors were told many interesting facts about Ivan Marchuk, so people had a chance to get to know more about the artist.

As a person who loves art, I often visit different exhibitions, so I can compare all the shows. What about this one, I can say, that the exhibition opened Ivan Marchuk as a person and artist for every visitor in the hall. The program was so amazing, that everyone, even those who are not interested in art, was not bored. Honestly, I came to the exhibition for my college project, but anyway I spent precious time meeting new people, and exploring art!
