My School Life

Elementary School Year 4

Hi, I’m Karina. I’m a schoolgirl from Ukraine. I’m nine. I am in Year 4. It is the last year in primary school in Ukraine. I’d like to tell you about my school life.

I really like learning because it is exciting. I think learning is important because it’s good for your future. I’m good at English and English is my favourite subject. We usually learn new words, read texts, listen to stories, make projects and sing songs in English. We often do tests. I don’t like Maths. I think is is too difficult. I think that some lessons are interesting and some lessons are boring.

Our classes start at 8.30. My classmates and I follow the school rules and we always come to school on time. We are never late for school.

Our classroom is clean and cosy. We keep our classroom clean. We don’t throw rubbish. We water the plants.

We have lunch in the school cafeteria. We walk at school. We never run. Some children bring their lunch in their lunchboxes.

We look after our things. We don’t break or lose our things. We respect our school and personal property.

There are many things in my school bag: books, copybooks, pens, pencils, a daybook, a ruler, a sharpener, an eraser, scissors, highlighters. I use a bookmark and sticky notes when I read my textbooks.

Our teacher says that we mustn’t use our phones at the lessons. We use smartphones after classes. We don’t text in class.

I am friendly with classmates. We are never rude. I like my teachers. I think they are nice.

I like my school. I am sure my school life is interesting. I think learning is fun!
