Hi, I’m Nastia and I want to tell you about my favourite animals. They are giant pandas. A giant panda is a black and white bear. The panda’s eyes, ears, legs, and shoulders are all black, and the rest of its body is white.
An adult panda weighs more than 45 kilos (100 pounds), and can be about 1.5 meters (5 feet) long. They live 25 or 30 years.
Giant pandas live in the mountains in China. They like forests with lots of bamboo. Pandas are endangered animals. They may become extinct if not protected.
Giant pandas eat bamboo, but they sometimes eat other plants, fruit and eggs They can eat meat. Pandas have to eat a lot of bamboo to stay healthy. They spend most of the day eating. Pandas can eat 12 to 38 kilos of bamboo a day.
Pandas do not sleep in winter. They can climb trees and swim.
The giant panda looks very cute but it can be dangerous to people.

Very interesting post! I did not know that they did not sleep in winter. I thought they are like bears. Pandas are really very cute. It is sad they are in danger. I heard somewhere that they are in danger because of the disappearance of bamboo forests as their main food is bamboo leaves. It is really a pity that due to human interference, which affects pollution and global warming many plants and animals become extinct.
