Human life changes along with technological advancements. As a result, the modern man equipped with modern technological equipment is far too different from the ancient man who depicted a herd of mammoths on the walls of the cave. Modern technology is rapidly changing the world’s living standards, thus creating a single world culture. New technologies including internet, television, computer, and various means of transportation have a great role in creating a common culture all around the globe.

First of all, the internet and e-mail have changed the way people communicate. The Internet brought many benefits. It is a new means of communication, a faster and more effective way to access information and news from anywhere in the world. People communicate with each other, share their ideas, happiness, and difficulties. It offers a great opportunity to find out more about countries and their history.

Secondly, the modern means of transportation allow people to move from one place to another very quickly. A few centuries ago, it was impossible to imagine waking up in one country, taking lunch in another, and falling asleep in a third one.

Finally, as a result of this sharing of information, communication, and increased interaction, traditions and customs are no more regional. Many people migrate during their lives. Some of them are looking for a better place to live; others want to get new experience, knowledge or just pleasure. Cultures mix even within families when people from different cultures marry each other. Thus, traditions fuse and develop into new ones, or just vanish.

To sum up, modern technology has a great impact on the way people live now. It is creating a new single world culture where traditions and distance are no longer prominent.
