Write a letter to your Ukrainian friend about your trip to Great Britain and explain:

• what means of transport to Great Britain you chose;
• what the purpose of your journey was; your impressions of the visit.

Dear Vova,

Thanks for your letter, it was a nice surprise for me. I’d like to share my news with you. My English pen friend Tom invited me to spend a month in Great Britain. Of course, I accepted his invitation to spend some time with his family in London.

My parents helped me to book a round-trip ticket to London. I bought Ukrainian souvenirs to Tom and his family. When the day of my departure came my dad drove me to the airport. It was not my first air travelling. I enjoyed the flight because I listened to music and watched the clouds passing by.

It was my great dream to visit London, the capital of Great Britain. London is one of the most exciting cities in the world. There is plenty to see and do there. London has many old buildings and monuments. Of course we visited Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. Tom and I walked along Trafalgar Square, Hyde Park and the best known streets in London.

I made a lot of wonderful photos that would always remind me my stay in London. I think London is a fantastic city to visit as a tourist.
