You are going to take part in the international conference. Write a report about the protection of nature in your country where you will:

• express the organizing committee your gratitude for the invitation
• inform about the problems of air, land and water pollution in Ukraine
• inform about the measures to ensure pure air, oceans and seas done by the United Nations and Great Britain in particular.

Write 100 – 150 words.

Dear members of the organizing committee! Let me express my deepest gratitude to all of you for the invitation! I’m so happy to become one of the participants of this conference.

The protection of nature has become one of the most burning problems of the 21st century. The Earth provides people with mineral resources, rivers, forests, fields – everything that makes the foundation for industrial and agricultural production. The development of industry has a bad influence on the nature of the whole world.

The air, land and water are polluted in Ukraine. Many regions on Ukraine were contaminated after Chornobyl accident. Our goverment must pay more attention to the problems of environment. In Ukraine public organisations and individuals support campaign for environmental protection.

We live in a community so we can save our planet only working together. It is very important to provide our planet with pure air, oceans and seas by improving technological progress. I consider that the only way to overcome the catastrophe is to put the air, oceans, seas and lakes under the control of the United Nations Organisation.

Today many factories in different countries, including Great Britain use devices to reduce smoke, dust and harmful gases. Special kinds of gasoline for cars are effectively used in many countries of the world.

In conclusion, I must say that the Earth is in danger. We must stop killing our planet or we will kill ourselves.
