Let’s speak about the rules of healthy lifestyle.

If we want to live long and happily we should have a healthy lifestyle. It helps us to become fitter, stronger, active, lively and more beautiful. To have a healthy lifestyle we should do the following.

The first very important thing is to exercise. It’s necessary to do sports. Sport and physical exercises help us to keep fit, teach us to win and to lose, make us patient, and fast. Sport helps us to build our character. As proverb says, ‘A sound mind in a sound body’.

Secondly, we should keep to a balanced diet. We should choose food from all four food groups. Fruit and vegetable group is the source of vitamins, minerals and fiber.  Meat group provides us with protein which is necessary for our muscles and brain. The bread and cereal group is rich in carbohydrates that give us energy. The milk group helps our bones and teeth stay healthy because it is rich in calcium. Each group is a good source of nutrients to keep our body healthy. We should avoid junk food because it’s bad for our health.

Thirdly, a person should have enough sleep. To sleep well we should pay attention to the following.

  • We shouldn’t drink chocolate, tea, cola before going to bed because these drinks have caffeine so try not to have them before you go to bed.
  • Don’t eat a lot before you go to bed.
  • Don’t exercise before you go to bed. Exercise wakes us up.

Moreover, we should avoid spending too much time playing computer games and watching TV. It is bad for our body especially for eyesight.

One more piece of advice for a long healthy life is to get an interesting hobby. No matter what kind of hobby a person has, he or she always has the opportunity of learning from it. Learning things broadens our outlook and trains our mind.

I’d like to mention a very important thing – your positive attitude to life.
