One of my favourite stories is a fascinating story about King Arthur, an English king. He lived a very long time ago, and he had a magnificent castle. Its name was Camelot.
King Arthur was famous for The Knights of the Round Table.
When he was young, he didn’t know that he was king. One day he saw a beautiful sword in a stone. People believed that the first person who got the sword from inside the rock was to become the king of English. It wasn’t very heavy but it was very difficult to get out. Only Arthur was successful and then he became a great English leader.
The sword was called Excalibur. Later it helped Arthur to win difficult battles.
Very interesting legend. I heard about King Arthur and if I am not mistaken I saw some films about him. In the post there isn’t a lot of information, but Liza did a good job. As far as I know, the details of Arthur’s story are mainly composed of folklore and literary invention, and his historical existence is debated and disputed by modern historians.
